Samsung Wallet has chosen Sui as the blockchain infrastructure for its stablecoin feature. The integration, announced on October 8, gives Galaxy users in the United States a way to hold USDC on Sui and send it directly from the wallet app already installed on their phones. Sui puts the reach at 82 million U.S. Galaxy devices.

What users get

At launch, USDC is the only supported asset. The SUI token is not supported in Samsung Wallet, a point Sui spelled out in its own FAQ.

Transfers ride on Sui's gasless stablecoin feature, which went live on mainnet in May 2026. Supported apps can let users send USDC without paying a network fee and without first buying SUI for gas. Sui says the transfer costs $0.00 at the network level.

The Herald Business in Korea reported that Galaxy users in North America will be able to send USDC from Samsung Wallet to external wallets or exchanges later this month.

What comes next

The rollout starts in the U.S. and will expand to other markets. Speaking to The Herald Business, Mysten Labs co-founder Adeniyi Abiodun said the company expects the service to eventually reach 20 to 30 countries. He also said the partnership could extend beyond stablecoins into DeFi and other areas. Neither company has announced a timeline for that.

Why it matters

Stablecoins have become a core part of Sui's pitch. Native USDC went live on Sui in 2024, followed by Circle's Cross-Chain Transfer Protocol integration. Sui says it has processed more than $1 trillion in stablecoin transfer volume since August 2025.

For Sui, a default slot in a major phone maker's wallet is distribution most chains do not have. The open question is usage. A wallet feature reaching millions of devices is not the same as millions of active users, and neither company has shared adoption targets.

SuiWire will track the rollout as it reaches users.
