Sui in 60 Seconds, Oct. 16: Current Lending's September Surge and USDsui Near $78 Million
Allez Labs says Current supply rose 65% to $124.9 million in September. Bridge shows about 77.5 million USDsui in circulation, fully collateralized. Plus a TradePort clarification on stale Origin Byte bids.

SuiWire's daily recap of the Sui ecosystem for Friday, October 16, 2026, covering roughly the past 24 hours. Market figures were pulled at 5:08 p.m. PT (00:08 UTC on October 17).
Markets: TVL slips toward $498 million as DEX volume cools
DefiLlama data shows total value locked on Sui at about $498.0 million, down about 1.8% from about $507.3 million a day earlier. Decentralized exchange volume on Sui came to about $46.7 million over 24 hours, down about 24% from the previous 24 hours. Cetus CLMM was the largest venue at about $13.5 million, followed by Bluefin Spot at about $6.1 million and DeepBook V3 at about $5.1 million.
CoinGecko listed SUI at $1.017, down 1.7% over 24 hours. NAVI Lending and Suilend remain the largest Sui protocols tracked by DefiLlama, at roughly $164 million and $162 million in TVL.
Current lending posts its largest month yet, Allez Labs says
Allez Labs said Current, the Sui lending market it covers in its September review, had its largest month of growth yet. According to Allez Labs, supply rose 65% to $124.9 million in September, passing $100 million for the first time on September 21, while debt rose 63% to $67.0 million.
DefiLlama currently tracks Current at about $58 million in TVL, a figure that measures differently from Allez Labs' total supply metric. The September review figures above are Allez Labs' reported numbers for the month.
USDsui supply near 77.5 million, fully collateralized
Bridge's reserves page listed about 77.54 million USDsui in circulation, with matching reserve assets and 100% collateralization. About 92.7% of reserves were short-term Treasuries and money-market funds (T-bill ladders with less than three-month duration), and about 7.3% was cash. The page was last updated October 16, 2026, at 11:50 p.m. UTC.
DefiLlama's stablecoin tracker put circulating USDsui near $77.5 million at write time, after a prior-day reading near $80 million. USDsui is a dollar stablecoin issued through Bridge's Open Issuance platform for use on Sui.
TradePort clarifies stale-bid drain was Origin Byte, not TradePort
On-chain watchers flagged roughly 257 SUI taken from 131 forgotten NFT bids associated with TradePort listings. A TradePort developer said the issue sits on the deprecated Origin Byte NFT standard contract, not on TradePort's own contracts, and that Origin Byte has long been unused for that reason. TradePort disclosed related Origin Byte solo-bid problems in September 2024 and previously urged users to cancel at-risk bids. The amount is small; SuiWire is noting the clarification rather than treating it as a new TradePort vulnerability.
