Scallop Launches Scallop Wallet, a Self-Custodial Sui Browser Wallet
The Sui lending protocol's new Chrome extension combines swaps, fiat on-ramp, lending-rate comparison and Scallop position tracking. It is in early access and not yet audited.

Scallop, the lending protocol on Sui, has launched Scallop Wallet, a self-custodial browser wallet now available on the Chrome Web Store. The team announced the release on October 14.
What the wallet does
According to Scallop, the wallet lets users manage assets, swap or buy crypto, compare lending rates across Sui and track their Scallop positions in one place.
The Chrome Web Store listing, published by Scallop Labs Ltd., gives more detail. Swaps use quotes from Cetus, Aftermath and FlowX. Buying and selling runs through Alchemy Pay, whose own checkout handles card details and identity checks. A lending view shows supply and borrow rates, rewards, collateral weight and utilization by protocol, side by side for each coin.
The listing also describes the security model. Keys are encrypted on the device and never leave it, and there is no Scallop account. Every transaction is simulated before signing, and a request that would fail onchain cannot be approved. Ledger hardware wallets are supported, as is sign-in with Google or Apple through Sui's zkLogin. Scallop says the extension can only reach the hosts declared in its manifest.
Early access
Scallop describes the wallet as early access and says it has not been independently audited. The listing showed version 1.1.0, last updated October 14, at the time of writing.
Context
Scallop is a money market on Sui. Its documentation describes it as the first DeFi protocol to receive an official grant from the Sui Foundation. DefiLlama currently tracks about $9.8 million in total value locked on Scallop Lend, well below NAVI Lending and Suilend at roughly $160 million each. Total value locked across Sui stands at about $497 million.
The wallet enters a field that already includes Sui wallets such as Slush, from Mysten Labs, and Suiet. What sets Scallop's apart, based on its listing, is lending: rate comparison and position tracking built into the wallet itself. Scallop Wallet also relies on Mysten Labs' public coin blocklist to filter spam tokens and on Suiet's list to hide scam NFTs.
SuiWire will follow the wallet's audit status and adoption as it leaves early access.
