Markets: DEX volume picks up as TVL holds near $507 million
DefiLlama data shows total value locked on Sui at about $507.3 million, down 0.7% from $510.9 million a day earlier. Decentralized exchange volume on Sui came to about $61.1 million over 24 hours, up 37% from the previous 24 hours. Cetus CLMM was the largest venue at about $21.6 million, followed by Bluefin Spot at about $9.7 million.
CoinGecko listed SUI at $1.035, up 1.0% over 24 hours. NAVI Lending and Suilend remain the largest Sui protocols tracked by DefiLlama, at roughly $167 million and $165 million in TVL.
Mysten Labs researcher co-authors AgentValve
Researchers from Purdue University, Google and Mysten Labs have published AgentValve: Sybil-Resilient Payment Authorization for Permissionless AI Markets on arXiv. The paper's authors are Jianting Zhang, Zhongtang Luo and Aniket Kate.
The protocol is meant to stop fake identities from inflating a provider's reputation and drawing larger payments from AI agents. Instead of a single reputation score, each agent extends a limited amount of trust to the agents it deals with, and a payment is approved only if trust paths from payer to provider have enough spare capacity. According to the authors, honest agents can never lose more than the trust they have extended toward bad actors.
Mysten Labs co-founder Kostas Chalkias highlighted the paper on October 15, describing it as Google, Mysten Labs and Purdue University co-exploring reputation systems for AI agents. AgentValve is research, not a product. Its prototype targets Ethereum-compatible chains, and no deployment on Sui has been announced.
Talus Protocol v2.1 is live on mainnet
Talus Labs said Talus Protocol v2.1 is live on mainnet, with Walrus now a more native part of the protocol. According to the Talus blog, Talus Tools can pass inputs and outputs of up to 8 MiB through Walrus, and developers can upload data, see storage cost estimates and keep durable references from the Talus CLI and SDK. Stored content stays signed, so it can be traced to the Tool that produced it, and Talus says altered data is rejected by the next step in a workflow.
The release also improves how Leaders, the network nodes that carry out agent work, track transaction results on Sui, so they recover from interruptions more efficiently. Talus says v2.1 aligns the protocol with the latest version of Sui and its recent RPC changes, and adds developer tools such as running agent package tests against the published Talus contracts on Testnet or Mainnet. Walrus reposted the announcement.
NAVI powers Yoso's Auto Earn
NAVI Protocol said its integration with Yoso lets users put their USDC to work automatically, earning yield while they trade. Yoso said its Auto Earn feature, powered by the NAVI integration, would start on October 15 at 00:00 UTC, and that idle USDC balances and eligible open positions can earn interest without extra manual DeFi steps.
Aftermath adds BNB perpetuals
Aftermath Finance said traders can now long or short BNB with 10x leverage. On October 14, the team also shipped a frontend update that lets users bridge, onramp or deposit straight into perps, redesigns the dialogs for leverage, take-profit and stop-loss, margin and closing or reversing positions, and adds new settings and an in-app wallet.
