Markets: SUI near $0.94 as Sui TVL climbs to about $483 million
CoinGecko listed SUI at $0.943, up 1.4% over 24 hours.
DefiLlama data shows total value locked on Sui at about $483.4 million, up about 2.2% from about $473.0 million on October 27. Decentralized exchange volume on Sui came to about $24.5 million on October 28, compared with about $25.5 million on October 27. Cetus CLMM was the largest venue at about $9.0 million, followed by Turbos at about $5.2 million, Bluefin Spot at about $4.6 million and DeepBook V3 at about $4.5 million.
CETUS heads to OKX Europe
Cetus announced that its CETUS token is coming to OKX Europe, expanding access beyond the main OKX exchange, where CETUS has traded since its token generation event. OKX Europe's listing notice says CETUS/USD and CETUS/EUR spot trading opens on October 29 at 10:00 UTC (3:00 a.m. PT). OKX Europe Ltd is a Malta-registered company licensed by the Malta Financial Services Authority as a crypto-asset service provider, and OKX says availability depends on the user's region.
Haedal's Lending Vault passes $7 million
Haedal said its Lending Vault has crossed $7 million in liquidity. DefiLlama listed the vault's value locked at about $7.1 million. Haedal, which started with liquid staking on Sui, said it is building toward "becoming the ultimate on-chain place to stake and earn across the ecosystem," from liquid staking tokens to lending vaults and more yield products ahead.
Scallop Wallet adds Multisig Accounts and Cetus support
Scallop added Multisig Accounts to Scallop Wallet, its self-custodial Sui browser wallet. A Multisig Account is a new account with two keys: the user's Google or Apple sign-in and a second key, which can be a recovery phrase, a private key or a Ledger. Either key can sign on its own, so losing access to one still leaves the other. Scallop noted that the feature protects against being locked out but not against theft, because either key can move the funds.
Scallop also said Scallop Wallet is now supported on Cetus, where users can connect it to swap tokens and provide liquidity on Sui.
Walrus ships mainnet v1.59.0
Walrus mainnet v1.59.0 is out for storage nodes and the command-line client. Storage nodes get an optional setting to certify a snapshot of blob information on chain at each epoch boundary. It is off by default on mainnet, requires the version-4 system contract and is on by default for nodes on the public testnet. Encoding that snapshot at the epoch boundary now uses less memory, with peak memory falling from about 5.5 times the snapshot size to about 1.7 times. Nodes and the client now always use Sui's gRPC interface. The release notes say no operator action is required by default.
